On another note, it was recently announced that Lehman Brothers, one of the four largest investment banks in the US has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Merill Lynch, yet another one of the big four has been pushing for an acquisition by Bank of America. With only two major IB's remaining in the United States (Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley), it will be interesting to see the response from both presidential/ vice-presidential candidates.
